The Victoria Target Theatre Society (Target) is a not-for-profit organization, which started in 1986 as a group of older adults with an interest in the performing arts. Target has grown into a company of mature actors who volunteer their time to provide a voice for the concerns of seniors. Target’s Players meet weekly to rehearse from September to June, and perform an average of twice monthly.

Players are expected to attend all weekly meetings and to become members in Target Theatre Society.

Because Target Theatre is a repertory company with a standing list of players, we don’t audition actors for specific plays or performances. However, we do like to meet prospective new players and we have occasional openings for understudies, who may become permanent replacements at some point. If you are interested in becoming a Target Player, you may be asked to take an understudy role initially and to attend special training sessions for prospective Players.
